This event
is what happens when a bunch of classic Mini owners want to
get together for a CMU style weekend! Named in appreciation
for one of the most recognized classic Mini enthusiast in
the world.
Big Al truly gets it! |
It's
the time of year when the northerners want to see some
warmth and the southerners want to get together with the
northerners and go for a nice long cruise! So, where better
than Central Florida at Old Town in Kissimmee? It's located
next to Orlando and all of the major theme parks.
This will be a laid back weekend with no registration or
fees, yes, that's the same as FREE! No goodie bags or awards,
just Mini fun! The hotel listed below is located next to Old
Town so everybody will be able to enjoy Old Town's Saturday
Night Classic Cruise while only being a block away from the
hotel. Afterwards, park your Mini back at the hotel and walk
back for more fun! Look at the room prices and layout. Just
like true CMU fashion, you can't beat the quality and price;
especially if you share the spacious units with your
friends.
Since there is no registration, we would appreciate a
RSVP to mike@classicminis.org
with a Mini and person count. From the response so far, this
could be huge and we want to be ready for you! When you RSPV
you will also get important updates on the event (more
savings and coupons)!
While the Big Al Snowbird Classic falls under the CMU
guidelines, this is not a CMU event. We just see that this
is a GREAT opportunity to warm up the northerners and to get
a lot of club members together for some fun before
our Mini
53, which will be too much fun!.
Event T-shirts: If
you want to fit in with the Mini crowd and have one of the
event shirts, it's easy and FREE! Email mike@classicminis.org
and ask for the GREAT Bob Cox artwork as seen above. Then
make a color copy and tape/staple/glue it to your shirt! You
can even save BIG on Mini parts at Big Al's event!!! Mini
Sport USA will be doing a group order and deliver the parts
to the event. With the group shipping you will save a lot on
the shipping while paying UK prices on the parts. Shop at Mini
Sport USA and contact Mike
with you order or questions. The deadline for orders is
February 23.

the suites sleep up to 6 people for just $67.75 (tax included).
Get your friends together, share a suite and have some fun while
saving some money. One of our CMU event scouts took a tour and
reported: "It was very nice with a double size Murphy bed
in the living room with a couch & TV. The kitchen was separate
with a full fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, table & 4
chairs. Off the kitchen was the bathroom, & then a separate
bedroom with two double beds dresser, TV & closet. It was nice
& clean and would be great for six people to share."

above and make your reservation ASAP. There is a $50 incidental
deposit required on arrival, so don't trash the place!

we couldn't guarantee how many will be coming.

Car show
Nope, nada, no way, no time!
Feel free to look at the Minis throughout the weekend and at Old
Town.
CMU guidelines...
Here is the part of the CMU
guidelines that relate to this event. You can arrive in any type of vehicle, but only
classic Minis and their variants
produced from 1959-2000 can
participate in the drives/cruises or anything else scheduled for
the event. If you can't bring your Mini, or don't have one, we'll
find you a ride in one. There are no exceptions, as our motto
says, "Just classic Minis, no ifs, ands or butts."
Don't forget to
RSVP to mike@classicminis.org!
