CMU club
chapters are being formed around the world. Starting a
chapter in your area is a great way to keep in touch with
area classic Mini owners for drives/events. Being internet
based, at the click of a button everybody in your chapter
will know what's going on! There are also chapters that are
already existing classic only Mini clubs. Through our
website, classic Mini owners around the world will be able
to find classic Mini enthusiasts in their area. This will
help the chapters/clubs grow, and as we all know, the more
classic Minis the merrier! The following covers what is
needed to start/join a chapter for both individuals or
existing classic only Mini clubs. Feel free to contact Mike
Guido if you have
any questions or comments. |
Individuals
Join a chapter:
If you are already a CMU member and you see
a club chapter you would like to join, go to the "Join"
page and fill in your name and the chapter name. If you're not a
CMU member yet, go to the "Join" page and fill it in
completely. You will then be added to the chapter email list as
well as the CMU email list.
Start a
chapter: If you would like to start a chapter in your
area, it's easy! Submit the following information to Mike
Guido:
1. Your name and CMU member number.
2. Chapter name and logo (Mike can help with the logo artwork.)
3. A brief description about your chapter, location, plans, number
of Minis in the area, etc...
4. If you have a few pictures, they can be used on your chapter
page.
When everything
is received, your logo and information will be added to the "Chapters"
page. There will also be a link to a one page description of your
chapter, including a few pictures if supplied. Here's
a chapter to see as an example for the web page. If you have any
questions or need help/advice, contact Mike.
Existing
classic Mini clubs
Start a chapter:
If you are a part of an existing classic only Mini club and you
would like your club to become a CMU chapter, here's how. Submit
the following information to Mike
Guido:
1. Your name and CMU member number.
2. Your position at your club (president, secretary, da'man in
charge....).
2. Your club name, logo, and website address if you have one.
4. Number of members in your club.
3. A brief description about your club, location, plans, events,
etc...
4. Submit a few pictures that can be used on your chapter page.
Once your club
becomes a chapter the representative for your club will receive
the CMU email updates at which point the representative can
forward the email to the rest of your club. We only send out a few
emails each year depending on classic Mini events and news. We
encourage the clubs to keep us updated with the major classic Mini
events and happenings/news so we can share it with everybody else.
Your club members do not have to sign up with CMU, of course they
can if they would like. They would be considered CMU members
through your club.
When everything is received,
your logo, website link, and information will be added to the
"Chapters"
page. There will also be a link to a one page description of your
chapter, including a few pictures if supplied. Here's
a chapter to see as an example for the web page. If you have any
questions or need help/advice, contact Mike.
