Back by
popular demand! Since our next 3 day mountain adventure
(Mini 53) isn't until April, 2012, we've had many requests
to re-live our Surf-n-fun-river-run. Keeping with the CMU
formula of the most fun/drives with the cheapest entry fees
and accommodations in north America, here we go again!

Just
like the last time, this event will
be a laid back, beach style weekend, with, of course, Mini
drives/cruises! Florida doesn't have the fast twisty mountain roads of
Tennessee but we proved the last time that the beach and the river
roads combined with a gaggle of Minis cruising around is a
GREAT time. But wait, there's more than just great cruises;
there will be some optional beach/surfing time (weather
permitting) Friday morning, a swap meet, and following
Sunday's scavenger hunt, we'll have a beachside cookout. Wait, what do you think
it would cost to stay near the beach? $80, $90, $100 per
night? NO, act now and you can reserve your room for just
$45 (plus taxes) per night! OK, so now you're thinking there
must be a hidden cost for such a great time. The
registration fee for 2 1/2 days of Mini fun has to be
expensive, right? Wrong, it's just $10
per adult, $5 per teen, and free for pre-teens! That's
cheaper than most sit around, 4 hour car shows! Don't delay,
and don't miss out on the Mini 52, Surf-n-fun-river-run Part 2!
Take a look at the the
original Surf-n-fun-river-run
and see what it's all about!

Mention CMU for the discount at $45.00 per night! That's for any
standard room with a queen or double beds. That price is
also good if you want to come a day early or stay a day late to
enjoy the beaches, go to the Kennedy Space Center, or just to hang
out. Note: Discount deadline March, 28, ask nicely afterwards and
you might still get it!
Registration
Cost: $10 per adult, $5 per teen,
free for pre-teens. Go HERE
for the registration form, late fee starts April 21!
It is a BIG help to know
how many Minis/people are coming! Register ASAP,
but for now, please email
Mike at
mike@classicminis.org
and RSVP with a Mini/people count . The event will be
designed around the amount of Minis/people attending so do it
soon!
Car show
Nope, nada, no way, no time!
Feel free to look at the Minis throughout the weekend and
give the owner a big thumbs-up if you like it. A thumbs-up goes a
lot further than a plaque, especially in a beach town, dude.
CMU guidelines...
For those that don't already
know, CMU events are open to club members and their guests, both
of which must register and pay to participate in part or for the
entire event. (The same price for the entire event or just one
cruise.) You can arrive in any type of vehicle, but only
classic Minis and their variants
produced from 1959-2000 can
participate in the drives/cruises or anything else scheduled for
the event. If you can't bring your Mini, or don't have one, we'll
find you a ride in one. There are no exceptions, as our motto
says, "Just classic Minis, no ifs, ands or butts."
